Dinner at Market by Jean Georges

Recently I had the opportunity to dine at Market by Jean Georges at W Doha Hotel as part of a meetup hosted by the Qatar Professional Women’s Network. The event was great. It was my first time at Market and we had a set menu for our dinner.

The interiors were warm and beautiful. Lots of private seating options and our meet up was lovely.

The menu had options to choose from and to start with I had a good time with amazing women.

I ordered the Tomato Soup with Parmesan topped croutons as the starter. Sadly I ended up not having the dish. It was kind of bland with extreme tomato punch and so thick. I prefer my soups a bit thinner but this is just my taste, because there was someone at the venue totally pleased with the taste. The portion size was huge and it was piping hot. My camera could even capture the smoke.

For the main course I ordered the Parmesan Chicken and it was delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked. The sauce was ultimate delicious and the crisp and crunch was so right, hit on the spot. I ate the whole dish and I was so full to have desserts. The portion size was big enough with a breast piece and a thigh and leg piece. The parmesan crust was truly delighting.

The menu offered chocolate cake and carrot cake with cream cheese frosting as the dessert options. Not being a verg big fan of chocolate cakes I went for the Carrot cake but there was no cream cheese frosting. I was kinda sad because I love cream cheese frosting.  It was served beautifully with vanilla icecream but seriously did not reach my expectation.

It was crowded and was a week day, so I think the food is good there. The main course was really good and the plating of the dishes were beautiful. I have yet to try other foods here.
